William W. Ryland

Bartow - William W. Ryland (Wayne) passed from this life on May 13, 2024 in Lakeland FL at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife of 60 years. Christine Ryland, and four children; Suejette McCraw (David) of Lakeland, Justin Ryland (Cheryl) of Winter Haven, Kelley Cochran (Kevin) of Auburndale, Shelley Chalmers (Kevin) of Brandon, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, his sister-in-law Linda Ryland of Thomasville, GA, and various cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents Hillary and Abbie Ryland, and his brother Dwight Ryland. He was a member of the Edgewood church of Christ. He worked for IMC Kingsford, Mulberry Welding, he was a truck driver for Scotty’s, and he drove a school bus for Polk County Schools. He was in the US Army Reserves for six years and was discharged as a Sergeant. He enjoyed reading, bluegrass music, woodworking in his shop, and beating anyone who dared to play checkers with him. Family will receive friends Friday, May 17, 2024, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow.
