YeVonne Leona Gassett, age 64, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, FL. She was born July 31, 1961 in Fort Myers, FL to Russell & Leona Hornbuckle. YeVonne worked for McDonald Construction. She was preceded in death by her son Leland Ray Gassett, brother Artie Ray Hornbuckle and her parents. YeVonne is survived by her companion David Keys of Lakeland, sister Lisa Prince & husband Dean of Lakeland, brother Eric Hornbuckle of Lakeland and her nieces & nephews. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow, FL. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Burial will be at Homeland Cemetery in Homeland, FL.
