Woodrow Burns

Woodrow Burns, age 92, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at his home in Eagle Lake. Mr. Burns was born in Athens, Alabama on June 2, 1919. He was a longtime resident of Polk County. Mr. Burns attended the Apostle and Prophet Ministry of Jesus Christ church in Auburndale, He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Brenda Burns of Eagle Lake, daughter Pamela Brabant and husband John of Lakeland, son Michael Burns of Eagle Lake, siblings Retha Burns of Winter Haven, Reuben Burns, and Georgia Mills both of Athens, AL. He also leaves behind his grandchildren; John P. Brabant of Eagle Lake, Britteney Upton of Wauchula, Crystal Brabant of Lakeland, and his great grandson Jayden Upton. A visitation will be held Monday, January 16th from 1PM to 2PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 2:00PM at the funeral home chapel.
