Winton J. Glisson

Bartow FL- Winton J. Glisson, 95, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at Lakeland Hospice House in Lakeland, FL. The son of Arthur and Arrie Lewis Glisson, Winton was born October 15, 1924 in Donalsonville, GA, Mr. Glisson was a resident Bartow since 1956 moving from Donalsonville. He was a dragline operator for U.S. Steel Phosphate for over thirty years He attended the Peace Creek Baptist Church in Bartow. He was a founding member of the Bartow First Church of the Nazerine. Winston was a WW II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife: Lillie Blanchard Glisson. He is survived by his daughter: Patsy M. Hewett, Bartow, a brother:: Billy J. Glisson, Donalsonville, GA; grandson: Christopher S. Parker, Bartow, two granddaughters: Crystal D. Parker, Sebring, FL & Summer Hewett, Stuart, FL; a great grandson: Nathen C. Parker, Bartow, Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at 11:00 AM at the graveside, with military honors at Bartow Wildwood Cemetery.
