William F. Watts, age 88, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015 in Winter Haven. Born November 12, 1926 in Seffner, he was the son of the late John B. and Mamie Watts. Mr. Watts retired for the Florida Department of Corrections where he was a Corrections Officer and Counselor. Mr. Watts was a Baptist and loved raising animals, fishing, and gardening. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Lily Mae Watts and his daughter Peggy Watts. Mr. Watts is survived by his wife Clara H. Watts, his children: Jerry Watts (Sue), Charles Watts (Barbara), Dorothy Gillette (Bill). He also leaves behind his step children Frances Mitchell (Randall), Judy C. White, Linda S. King, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday May 12th from 6pm to 8pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow Wednesday, May 13th at 10:00am at the funeral home chapel.
