Homeland - William Martin, age 88, passed away May 31, 2024, at his residence in Homeland, FL. He was born on July 12, 1935, in Bartow, FL. He was the Owner of Martin’s Grocery Store and Meat Market. He enjoyed buying and selling cattle. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Martin, son Richard F. Martin, sisters Louise McDuffie, Dorothy Ford, Gladys Howell & Marilyn Lunn and brothers Bud Martin & Robert Martin. He is survived by a loving family that includes his sister Margaret Altman, granddaughter Jessica Martin, grandson Ryan Smith, many nieces and nephews and dear friends Eddie & Melissa Gassett.. Family will receive friends Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Homeland Cemetery, Homeland.
