Mr. William "Bill" Nathan Kersey, age 75, of Fort Meade, FL, died Friday, May 9, 2008, at his Residence in Fort Meade. Mr. Kersey, a native of Fort Meade, was born December 4, 1932. Mr. Kersey was employed by Kaplan Industries where he worked as a Butcher. Mr. Kersey was also a Hog Farmer and was well known as the "Hogman". He Served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his Ex-wife Virginia Kersey of Fort Meade.
Four Daughters; Jacqualin "Jackie" Summers and Husband Terry of Fort Meade, Alice Slora and husband Chuck of Savanah, GA, Mary Kersey Goan and Husband Dreux of League City, TX, and Ramona Cartagena of Bartow. One Son; William Leonard Kersey and Wife Linda Jane of Fort Meade.
One Sister; Alice Patterson of Frostproof, FL.
One Brother; Fred Kersey of Bowling Green, FL.
13 Grandchildren and 14 Great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 13, 2008. Funeral service will be at McLean Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 14, 2008 . Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade, FL.
