Bartow- William Dale Kerby, 56, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of heart failure. Born August 20, 1953 in Rockfjord, IL, Mr. Kerby has been a longtime resident of Bartow. He was Assistant Principal and former Dean at Haines City High School for the past nine years where he was active with the Haines City Hornets Football team. He formerly taught at Southwest Elementary in Lakeland and Westwood Middle School in Winter Haven. He was a fireman with the Bartow Fire Deptment for seven years. He was preceded in death by his son Brian Daniel Kerby & father William E. Kerby. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Vivian Kerby; two daughters: Brandi Kerby Lively & husband Chad of Lakeland; Tracy Kerby Albrecht of Orlando; two granddaughters: Brooke Williams of Mulberry & Victoria Lively of Lakeland; mother: Wilma Kerby of Winter Haven; two brothers: Steve Kerby & wife Sheila of Mulberry & Bruce Kerby of Winter Haven; sister: Judy Boyd of Auburndale; sister-in-law-Debbie Walker-Stamps of Mount Olive, MS; Brook's father: Shawn Williams of Mulberry. Family will receive friends Friday, June 25, 2005, 6-8 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
