William F. Wise, Jr.

Bartow- William F. "Buddy" Wise, Jr., age 88, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 in Lakeland. Born October 1, 1932 in Frostproof, he was the son of the late William F. Wise, Sr. and Annie Flora (Trant) Wise. Mr. Wise was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He owned and operated Wise Insurance Agency in Bartow for many years before retiring in 2019. He was a former longtime member and board member of the Peace River Country Club in Bartow, a member of the Greater Bartow Chamber of Commerce and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Roberta S. Wise and four sisters. He is survived by a loving family that includes his children: Debra J. Turbe (Ted), Janet L. Sturm, Theresa D. Whitman (Mike), Karen D.Wise, Jerry F.Wise (Cynthia) and Marvin Wise. He also leaves behind his brother; Bill Wise, Brother-in-law, David Stickney, nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 12th at 1:00pm at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
