William David Clem

William David Clem, 81, passed away suddenly Saturday, July 4, in Pittsview, AL. Born January 19, 1934 in Auburndale, FL, Mr. Clem was a lifelong resident of Polk County. He was a Building Contractor for many years. He was a member of the Lake Garfield Baptist Church. Mr. Clem is survived by his wife of 34 years: Wanda J. Clem, Bartow; son: David Clem , Nashville, TN; step son: James Shipman, Lake Wales; four daughters: Martha Grant & Denise Varnadore, both of Westminster, SC; Lynn Holman, Springfield, GA & Joan Carnal, Lake Wales; grandson: Bryson Clem, Bartow, 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren & 5 great great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 10, 2015, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
