William "Bill" Jackson Cook

Bowling Green - William "Bill" Jackson Cook, age 85, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024. He was born December 14, 1938 in Tilghmon, FL to Otis & Letha Cook. Bill was a Veteran serving three years in the US Amy and then four years in the US Navy. After his service to his Country, Bill worked for the phospate mines as a Welder/ Maintenance Mechanic. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bowling Green. He was preceded in death by his parents Otis & Letha McAdams Cook, siblings Harold, Hubert, Bessie, Betty, Shirley, Mary and Faye. Bill is survived by his wife of 62 years Janice Cook, two sons Jay Cook & wife Jan and Jeff Cook, daughter Deana Sellers & husband Mark, three sisters Alene Allen, Jenell Mogle & husband Larry and Carol Farris & husband Ray, brother Jerry Cook & wife Connie. Nine grandchildren Elizabeth Cook, Bill Cook, Johnathan Cook, Jessica Brooks & husband Zach, Clifton Sellers & wife Megan, Nathan Sellers & wife Joy, Bryan Cook & wife Amanda, Craig Cook and Caleb Cook, twelve great grandchildren Cecelia, Jameson, Hallie, Wesley, Evie, Miti, Ezra, Emmy, Aurora, Cheyanne, Carson and Kinley. Family will receive friends Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, 6210 Mt Pisgah Road, Fort Meade, FL. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Mt Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial with Military Honors will be held at Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Fort Meade, FL.
