William Hatcher Bearrentine

William Hatcher Bearrentine, age 90, of Fort Meade, FL, died Sunday, February 18, 2007, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Mr. Bearrentine was born Dec. 23, 1916 in Abbeville, AL. His family moved to Bartow when he was a teenager and he has lived in Fort Meade since 1944. Mr. Bearrentine was a Citrus Maintenance Supervisor for Peace River Packing Co. for 40 years. He was affiliated with the Paynes Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Bowling Green, the Cornerstone Church of God in Fort Meade, and the First Presbyterian Church in Bartow. He Served in the Army during World War II. He is preceded in death by his son, Mark Bearrentine. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Willie Lou Bearrentine, Fort Meade, FL.; Daughter, Joy Albritton of Fort Meade,FL.; Two Sons, Norman Bearrentine of Oakland, CA and Bruce Bearrentine of Fort Meade, FL.; andThree Grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 20, 2007. Funeral service will be at Paynes Creek Primitive Baptist at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 21, 2007. Interment will be at Paynes Creek Cemetery in Bowling Green, FL.
