Born November 7, 1962 in Lakeland, he was a lifelong resident of the area, He is preceded in death by his father: Roy H. Whitman, sister: Pamela Ann Whitman & brother: Guy Whitman. He is survived by his son: Shawn Whitman of Lakeland; daughter: Lindsay Whitman, Lake Wales; mother: Eloise Whitman, Bartow; brother: Marsh McElmurray, Hudson; step-son: Cody McCain, Lake Wales & step-daughter: Amy McCain, Lakeland. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 6, 2-3 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow, service will follow at 3 PM at the funeral home.
