Wesley E. Griner

Wesley E. Griner, age 82, passed away on Thursday February 18, 2021 in Lakeland. Born March 27, 1938 in Berrien County, GA , he was the son of the late Dan and Bessie (Adams) Griner. Wesley was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the National Guard. He was a Baptist. Mr. Griner was a mechanic with several different grove services in the Alturas area for many years. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Daniel "Kelly" Griner and his brothers: Roscoe Griner and Troy Griner. Wesley is survived by his children: Jeff Griner (Retha) of Winter Haven, Sylvia Carmichael of Bartow, Christine Sharpton (Jeff) of Locust Grove, GA, and Mary I. Veal (Charles) of Fitzgerald, GA. He also leaves behind his sisters: Shirley Brooks (J.D.) of Fort Payne, AL, Jackie Gautney and Betty Powell (Roger) all of Alturas, nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
