Wesley C. Chadwick

Wesley C. Chadwick, 84, died March 9, 2010 of heart failure. Born March 18, 1925 in Nashville, GA., Mr. Chadwick has been a resident of the area since 1953, moving from Georgia. He was a US Marine veteran where he fought at Iwo Jima during WWII. He was a heavy equipment operator for US Steel & Mobil Chemical Co. for many years. He was a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars. and the Bartow Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Chadwick. He is survived by four daughters: Linda Horn & husband David of Lakeland; Shirley Hadden & husband Philip; Brenda Davis & husband James; Wanda Furlong & husband Tommy all of Bartow. One Son; Charles Chadwick of Bartow; One Brother; Vasco Chadwick of Lakeland, GA. 10 Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren & 2 Great Great-Grandchildren. Family will receive friends Saturday, March 13, 2010 10-11:30 am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Graveside funeral services with military honors will follow at 12 pm at Gandy Cemetery in Connersville, FL.
