Wendell M. Butler

Wendell Butler, age 81, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at his home in Bartow. Born on January 23, 1936 in Albany, KY, he was the son of the late Chester A. and Beatrice (Aaron) Butler. Mr. Butler retired from the City Of Bartow where he was a Foreman in the Public Works Department. Wendell is preceded in death by his son, Daryl Butler in 2003, and his wife Annie R. Butler in 2012. He is survived by a loving family that includes his children: Mitzi A. McGifford (Tom) of Phoenix, AZ, Janet M. Glover (Clarence) of Jacksonville, Charles L. Troutt (Lisa) of Bartow, Tim Troutt (Stacey) of Bartow, and Ronnie Butler (Carrie) also of Bartow. Mr. Butler also leaves behind two sisters: Virginia McClaran of New Castle, IN, and Alice Wolf of Campbellsville, KY, along with fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 24th at 6:00pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow.
