Webster Buie Geiger

Dr. W.B. "Buie" Geiger, age 84, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009 from heart failure. Born May 25, 1925 in Mendenhall, MS, Dr. Geiger was the son of the late Hugh Ulrich and Irene Walker Geiger. Dr. Geiger was a member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Bartow where he served as an Elder Emeritus. Dr. Geiger was a member of the Masonic Tuscan Lodge #6 of Bartow for over 50 years and a former mayor of the city of Bartow. He also was the president of Bowling Green Groves, Inc. Dr. Geiger was a veteran of WWII, where he served as a B-24 pilot in the Army Air Corps. Dr. Geiger owned and operated Dr. Webster B. Geiger's Dental Office in Bartow for 32 years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Maxine Geiger. He is survived by a loving family that includes his daughter Barbara Lassiter (Steve) of Bartow, son Franklin Hugh Geiger (Diane) of Fort Green, four grandchildren; Zachary Lassiter (Michelle) of Bartow, Rachel Geiger, Katie Lassiter of Fort Myers, and Christy Lassiter of Bartow. He also leaves behind two great grandchildren; Reese Lassiter and Tyson Lassiter. Family will receive friends Saturday, July 25th from 10am to 11am at the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Bartow, 205 East Stanford Street in Bartow. Services will follow immediately at 11:00am. Burial will take place in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Memorial contributions may be made to the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Trust, P.O.
