Wayne Jackson Wyant, Sr.

Bartow - Wayne Jackson Wyant, Sr., age 76, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 at his residence in Bartow. Wayne was born, June 19, 1936 in Baldwin, FL, he was a member of the Wildwood Baptist Church, where he previously served as treasurer. Mr. Wyant retired from the Polk County Sheriff's Office with over 27 years of service and also served in the Florida Air National Guard. Wayne was the Owner of Wyant's Photography. He is Survived by his Wife; Ann Wyant of Bartow. Two Daughters; Diane Pannebaker & husband Parker of Bartow and Edie Roden & husband Jim of Winter Haven. Three Sons; Wayne "Jack" Wyant, Jr. & wife Pam, John Wyant Sr. & wife Crystal and David "Pudge" Wyant & wife Dawn all of Bartow. Sister; Mary Price of Waynesville, NC and brother; Ernest Brock of Panama City. Fourteen grandchildren & six Great Grandchildren. Wayne was the youngest of 13 children. Family will receive friends Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 5 to 7 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral service will be held Thursday, September 13, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the Bartow First Assembly of God. Interment will be held at Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow.
