Wayne S. Whitehurst

Bartow - Wayne S. Whitehurst, age 84, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. Born August 26, 1933 in Bartow, FL, Mr. Whitehurst was a lifelong resident of Bartow. He was a Purchasing Agent for Farmland Industries for many years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a past president and longtime member of the Bartow Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Whitehurst was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Martha J. Whitehurst. He was survived by his son Chester "Chet" W. Whitehurst of Lakeland. Family will receive friends Monday, December 4, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow.
