Wayne "Spud" Morris Rickels

Wayne "Spud" Morris Rickels, 58, of Wauchula, died Thursday, December 9, 2010, at his residence. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio October 3, 1952. Wayne was a Dragline Operator for 29 years with Mosaic. He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph & Viola Rickels and brother Fredrick Dale Rickels.He is survived by his wife; Heather Helms Rickels of Wauchula. Four daughters; Angela Elam & husband Ron of Cleveland, TN, Jennifer Clemons & husband Josh of Gainsville, Missy Lee Helms of Lakeland and April Le'mae Maker of Winter Haven. Two sons; Stephen Adam Rickels of Atlanta, GA and Caleb Scott Rickels of Crystal River. Two sisters; Sandy Scott & husband Oscar of Zolfo Springs and Marlene Hyde & husband Roger of Lakeland. Ten grandchildren; Jordan Wayne Elam, Malia A'lani Elam, Zachery David Elam, Micaela Lynn Ybarra, Joshua David Clemons, Jr., Bubba Joe Ybarra, Lydia Cheyenne Ybarra, Emily Grace Ybarra, Hailee Rickels and Chloe Rickels Arrangements are being handled by McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway in Fort Meade, FL. Funeral service will be at First Baptist Church, 4531 US 17 North in Bowling Green at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 18, 2010.
