Walter L. Snyder

Bartow - Walter L Snyder, age 96, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Florida Presbyterian Homes in Lakeland. Born September 24, 1915 in Danville, PA, Mr. Snyder moved to Bartow in 1994. He has been living at Florida Presbyterian Home in Lakeland for the last 5 years. He was a machinist for the Kennedy Van Saun Company in Danville for many years. He was a WW II Army veteran. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church & American Legion Post #3, Bartow. Mr. Snyder is preceded in death by his wife Catherine. He is survived by a daughter: Ellen Wendel, & husband Dick of Bartow; a son: Larry Snyder & wife Connie of Bloomsburg, PA; brother: Eugene Snyder of Danville, PA; 4 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 17, 2012, at 10:00 AM at Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 2180 S. Kissingen Ave, Bartow. Interment will be held at St. Hubert Cemetery, Danville, PA . Mr. Snyder will be missed by his family and many friends in Bartow & the Florida Presbyterian Home in Lakeland
