Walter W. Hoover Jr., age 90, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Palm Garden Of Winter Haven in Winter Haven. Born Wednesday, September 19, 1928 in Walton County, FL, Mr. Hoover was a resident of the area for many years. An avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. Walter was a man who loved his Lord and Savior, a man who took great pride in his family and the time spent with them. Walter would always put others before himself, he could often be heard saying how he loved his family and prayed for them everyday. He proudly served his country as a Medic with the United States Army and supported his family working as a independent self -employed Masonry Contractor. He is survived by his Daughter; Charlotte Worthington (Byron), Eagle Lake, FL, Son, Phil Hoover (Jeanette), Bartow, FL, Daughter; Pat Ball (Robert), Haines City, FL, Son; Jerry Hoover (Wendy), Albany, OR, Daughter; Margaret Armstrong (Mike), Winter Haven, FL, Eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, Sisters; Betty Jo Cook, Winter Haven, FL and Doris Wilson, Polk City, FL. Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Lakeside Memorial Park, Winter Haven.
