Walter A. Carter, Jr.

Bartow- Walter A. Carter, Jr. age 52, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021. He was born October 19, 1968 in Beaufort, SC to Walter A. Carter, Sr. and Tam (Davis) Carter. Walt graduated from Bartow High School in 1986. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked for many years as a Respiratory Therapist in the healthcare industry. He loved to play golf, hunt, fish and spending time with his family & friends. Walter was preceded in death by his daughter, Mallory Carter in January of 2021. He is survived by a loving family that includes his daughter, Abigail Carter, his parents: Walt & Tam Carter, Sr. of Bartow. his sister, Tanya Carter Lewis along with his nieces: Carter and Elliot, his nephews: Greyson and Jackson. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 11th from 5pm to 7pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services 10:00 am on Saturday, June 12th at the Bartow First Assembly of God with Jim Hatch and Howe Wallace officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lakeland, FL.
