Virginia Thomas

Virginia Thomas 88 of Bartow was taken home by Angels to be with Jesus on Sunday April 3, 2011. She passed from respiratory failure at the Highlands Lake Center in Lakeland. A lifelong resident of Bartow, Virginia retired from Citrus World as a Citrus Processor and was a long standing member of the Wildwood Baptist Church in Bartow. She was preceded in death by her parents Junious and Josephine Whatley and is survived by one son Sammy Thomas and his wife Brenda; two daughters Sue Butsch; Carol Lewis and her husband David and one sister Nila Frazier all of Bartow. Five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A visitation will be held Thursday April 7th from 10-11am at the Wildwood Baptist Church in Bartow with services starting at 11am. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.
