Virginia "Ginger" Strickland

Virginia "Ginger" Strickland, age 67, passed away from heart failure Monday Dec. 20, 2010. Mrs. Strickland was born in Valdosta, GA on November 18, 1943. She had worked for Ametek U.S. Gauge in Bartow and was and member of Highland City First Baptist Church. Mrs Strickland was preceded in death by her husband Ross J. Strickland. She is survived by a loving family that includes three daughters; Denise Brose of Frostproof, Cheryl Venable of Tampa, Lisa Gordon of Orlando, one son Chris Warren of Winter Haven, one brother Dan C. Wells, III, of Lakeland, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow where the family will receive friends Thursday Dec. 23rd from 2pm to 3pm. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm at the funeral home chapel.
