Virginia Russ Mckereghan

Virginia Russ McKereghan, 84, passed away January 24, 2012 from complications due to Alzheimer's. A native of Bartow, she was born April 13, 1927. She was an accountant and a member of First Christian Church in Bartow. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Sr. and A.D. Russ, husband George McKereghan, and two sisters, Myrtle Stewart and Robbie Prince. She is survived by her son, William and wife Bonnie Martin of Bartow; two daughters, Diane and husband Herman Acorn of Bartow, and Cheryl and husband David Murphy of Springdale AR; nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; sister Wilma Powell of Lakeland, brother Robert Russ Jr. of Columbia SC. Family will receive friends Saturday January 28, 2012 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow and funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home.
