In Loving Memory of Virginia Faye Goins Faye's journey through life came to a peaceful end at the age of 72 on August 10, 2023, at the Lakeland Regional Health and Medical Center. She was born in Salem, IL on June 9, 1951. She was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, Malmal, and extended family, whose warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her radiant smile and gentle spirit were a constant source of comfort to those around her. Faye had a passion for gardening and celebrated seeing the beauty of anything that she planted bloom. She enjoyed shopping, taking photos, butterflies and playing Pacman. She cherished and loved every moment with her grandchildren and cats. Faye's legacy of love and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and a life well-lived. May Faye's spirit find eternal peace, and may her memory serve as a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to have known her. She was preceded in death by her parents Webbie Goins and Leona Mayfield Goins, sisters Ruth Howze, Martha Hill, Bonnie Goins and Ethel Kirchoff, and brothers Kenneth Goins and Cecil Goins. She is survived by her fiancé Paul Taylor of Bartow, daughters Donna Pepper of Lakeland and Linda Pepper of Bartow, sons Steven Russ and Brandon Roberts of Bartow, sisters Bernice Goins (Carol Mosny) of Winter Haven, Theresa Brinsley (Michael) of Winter Haven, Kaye Ewaniuk of Lakeland, and Loretta Mervis (Allan) of Winter Haven, grandchildren Corey Grooms (Brittany) of Lake Wales and Cordell Grooms (Savannah) of Lakeland and 7 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow.
