Violet J. Sumner

Violet J. Sumner, 87, of Lake Wales, FL died Monday, December 20, 2010, at Lake Wales Medical Center. Violet was born May 5, 1923 in Mt. Washington, PA. She lived in Homestead, FL for 35 years where she was employed by Homestead Air Force Base as a Child Care Manager. She moved to Bartow in the summer of 2001 and later moved to Lake Wales. She was a Prebyterian. She is survived by her husband of 67 years Walter Sumner, Jr of Lake Wales. Two Daughters; Gloria & husband Ken Reda and Karen Justice both of the Florida Keys. Son; Gary W. & wife Sue Sumner of Bartow.Four Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow, FL.
