Violet Virginia Hicks

Violet Virginia Hicks, 80, of Bartow, died Friday, October 29, 2010. She was born June 28, 1930 in Grove City, PA. Mrs. Hicks was a Bookkeeper & Computer programmer for Wuesthoff Memorial Hospital. She moved from Cocoa to Bartow in 1981. She was preceded in death by her husband; William Hicks, Sr. and two brothers; Arthur & Kenneth Neely. She is survived by her Daughter; Linda S. Wiggins of Oviedo. Son; William "Bo" Hicks, Jr. of Cocoa. Five Sisters; Florence Lipford of Bartow, Helen Weber of Westlake, OH, Margaret Manilla of Sharon, PA, Cora Hinz of Cedar Falls, IA and Norma Comninos of Sharon, PA. Brother; James Neely of Masury, OH. Five Grandchildren and Four Great-Grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Sunday, November 7, 2010. Funeral service will be at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 7, 2010 , Rev. Terry L. Coe officiating. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
