Vinnie Mae Clayton

Vinnie Mae Clayton, age 94, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 13, 2016 in Lakeland. Born March 7, 1922 in Cairo, GA, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Mattie Johnson. Vinnie was a homemaker and a Baptist. Mrs. Clayton will be remember for her kind and loving ways. Along with her parents and her sister Bertha Brown, she is preceded in death by her husband O.B. Clayton in 1989. She is survived by her son Lee Clayton (Sharon) of Lakeland, her granddaughter, Cierra Sherman and two great grandchildren: Emma Sherman and Reagan Jones. Mrs. Clayton also leaves behind her nephews Billy Anthony (Sharon), Walter Anthony (Judy) her niece Sandy Anthony along with several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 9am to 10am at Wildwood Baptist Church in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 10:00am at the church.
