Verena Powell Prine

Verena Powell Prine, age 95, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 at Rohr Home in Bartow. She was born November 18, 1926 in Savanah, GA to Arly & Bitha Powell. She worked for City Hall with the City of Fort Meade. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Prine and sister Arlene Burnett. She is survived by her daughter Gayle Weinkauf & husband Bill of Fort Meade, son William N Myers, Jr. & wife Candace, grandchildren Taylor Weinkauf & wife Maria, Kathryn Ferguson & husband Walker, Jonathan Myers & wife Katie, Savannah Myers, Sarah Myers and six great grandchildren Austin, Elizabeth, Anna, Claudia, Sunny and Lily. Family will receive friends Monday, October 3, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, 307 E. Broadway in Fort Meade, FL. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am Monday, October 3, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Fort Meade. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade, FL.
