Vera G. Putnam

Vera Grunwald Putnam of Bartow died Tuesday, August 30th at her home. She was 105. Born January 29, 1917, in Fernandina, Florida, Vera was the daughter of Louis Charles Grunwald and Lena Nagel Grunwald. Shortly after World War II, she and her late husband Thomas Bryant Putnam moved to Bartow, Florida where they resided until their deaths. She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Vera is survived by her son Thomas Bryant Putnam, Jr (Daphne). She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Laura Valerie Putnam (Zane Pierson), Thomas Wilson Putnam (Mallory), and Sarah Katherine Putnam, as well as three great-grandchildren Thomas Boswell Putnam, Danielle Margaret Putnam, and Levi James Pierson. The funeral service will be held at 10:00am Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 500 W. Stuart Street, Bartow. Interment will immediately follow at Wildwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
