Travis W. Glass

Mr. Travis Willard Glass, age 93, of Bartow, died Thursday, December 4, 2008, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. Born September 6, 1915, in Henry County, Alabama, Mr. Glass has been a resident of Bartow for 24 years, moving from Lakeland. He was a grove caretaker with Lakeland Highlands Co-Op. for several years. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Bernice B. Glass. He is survived by his wife: Geraldine "Jerry" Glass of Bartow; daughter: Patty Smith of Mooresville, N.C.; sister: Helen Pigg of Lakeland & grandson: Jeff Bass of Mooresville, N.C. Family will receive friends Monday December 8th, 10-11 am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Services will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
