Tracy Douberly

Mr. Tracy Douberly went home to his Lord after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, August 20th, 2018 at the age of 55 with his family by his side at Lakeland Regional Health Palliative Care Unit. Tracy was born September 12, 1962 in Bartow, Fl to Kenneth and Betty Douberly. He loved calling Bartow his home and was involved in coaching baseball for Bartow Dixie Youth. Tracy was proud in all his careers beginning with working for Crown Electric Inc. as an electrician alongside his father at the family owned business. He was honored to serve as a detention deputy and on the Honor Guard at the Polk County Sheriff’s Department for nine years. From there he was employed at the City of Bartow as an electrical inspector for the last 16 years. In his free time, he loved watching Gator football, fishing at “The Shack” in Pine Island, camping, and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of Highlands Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon. He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Betty (Russell) Douberly. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Cindy, his two sons, Jason and Brandon, his brother Kenneth Douberly of Lakeland, sister Lynn Praay (Tim) of St. Augustine and two grandchildren, Koby and Kinsley. Family will receive visitors Friday August 24th from 5pm to 8pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, August 25th at 2pm at Highlands Church of Christ in Lakeland. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Central Florida Bible Camp.
