Tommy E. Pueschell, Sr.

Bartow - Tommy Pueschell, Sr., age 69, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Bartow Regional Medical Center. He was born January 16, 1952 in Bartow, FL to Edward & Alda Pueschell. Tommy graduated from Bartow Summerlin Institute in 1970. He then went into the Florida National Guard in 1971, where he served 11 years and was the Honor Graduate of his class. He went to work for General Telephone in 1971, then he started his own company Security Solutions. He was the Owner/Operator of Security Solutions for 25 years. After that he went to work for the Polk County Public Schools in the IT Department for 20 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bartow where he helped run the sound system for many years. Tommy coached Dixie Youth Baseball for 12 years and he taught a computer class at the Adult School in Bartow for many years. He was also the Executive Vice President & Chief Negotiator for the American Federation of State County Municipal Employees for 12 years. Tommy was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Dianne Whatley Pueschell. He is survived by his children Tommy Pueschell, Jr. & wife Jodi, Michael Pueschell & wife Rachel, Joseph Pueschell, Jordan Pueschell, Candy Pueschell, Gabriel Pueschell and Angela Pueschell, grandchildren Brianne Pueschell, Caitlin Pueschell, Lauren Pueschell, Mariah Pueschell and Hollis Pueschell. Sisters May Brown & husband Rusty, Vinnie Lou Blanchett & husband Richard and brothers Lindsey Yates & wife Connie, Bill Yates & wife Genevia. Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Bartow, Memorial service will follow 11:00 am Thursday at First Baptist Church.
