Tomie E. Carnley, "GATOR", Age 87, passed away peacefully on May 27th, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Tomie was born on January 8th, 1937, in Mossy Head, FL and moved to Fort Meade FL in 1953. He was a retired citrus grove worker who loved fishing, hunting, gardening and being around happy people. He was quick to play a practical joke or spin a tale to cheer you up and get a laugh, lend a helping hand to anyone, and he had an undeniably big heart. "Gator" was preceded in death by his father, Tom Carnley, his mother Mary L. Carnley, and his daughter, Kathy Cerullo. He is survived by his children Joey (Peri), Rhonda (Sean), and Laura Carnley. His brothers, Richard (Gail), Frank (Joyce), Royce (Kay) and his sister, Ellen. His grandchildren, Brandy (Darrin), Mandy (Jason), Priscilla aka “Shugie”, Otis (Teresa), C.J., and Jimmy. 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Family will receive friends Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at McLean Funeral Home, Fort Meade. Funeral service will be held Monday, June 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM at McLean Funeral Home. Burial immediately following service at Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade, FL.
