Timothy G. Keane

Timothy G. Keane, age 90, was born to eternal life of July 18, 2011 from natural causes, at his home in Bartow. Born George Quinn Curtin on Sept. 27, 1920 in Somerville, MA, his foster mother Johanna Keane adopted him. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree, Majoring in Philosophy at Sacred Hearts Seminary in Washington D.C.. Upon completion of his education, he served as a Catholic Priest in Wellfleet, MA, LaVerne, CA, and Mount Gilead, OH. In 1971 he took a sabbatical leave of absence. He served the city of Glendora as a Youth Counselor with the police department. Tim served as the Chaplain for the California Juvenile Officers' Assoc. and many other boards. He found his biological family when he was 78. He is survived by his wife Junice, a brother, Leroy Curtin of Palm Harbor, a sister, Anna Vaudo of NH, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Sat., July 23rd at 11:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 2180 S. Kissengen Ave. in Bartow. A reception will immediately follow at the Floral Lakes Club House. The family is asking that, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, Good Shepherd Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
