Timothy Michael Hardee, age 53, passed away on February 27, 2025 in Lakeland, Florida. Born on February 5, 1972 in Gainesville, he was the son of Terry Franklin Hardee and Carolyn [Sullivan] Hardee. Tim was a graduate of Keystone Heights High School and was a renowned athlete in many sports. He then served an internship at Alachua County Clerk’s Office prior to starting college. His talented abilities in baseball earned him scholarships at Santa Fe College and Florida Southern College where he graduated in 1996. His playing days included a trip to the College World Series for Florida Southern that earned them a Runner-up Trophy. After a year as a science teacher at George Jenkins High School in Lakeland, he was then appointed Head Baseball Coach where he twice led the team to high finishes in the State Championship games. Tim was also a licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director for many years in central Florida that included a degree from St. Petersburg College. Tim was an avid outdoorsman with hunting and fishing skills as well as a devotee of the game of golf. He especially enjoyed his many fishing trips to Steinhatchee with his Dad and others. He was a devoted father to his daughter, McLean Abygail Hardee, and a loving son to his parents. Tim was reared in a christian home and was Baptist in his early life. He later served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Stewardship Chairman at Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Bartow, Florida. Tim was preceded in death by: his brother, Terry Mark Hardee and his infant brother, Randall Aaron Hardee. Deceased grandparents, James and Marie Sullivan also Luther and Ethel Hardee. Mr. Hardee is survived by a loving family that includes his daughter, McLean Hardee; McLean's mother, Amy McLean King; his parents, Terry and Carolyn Hardee, nephew Tucker Hardee, as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and friends. He was much loved and will be missed. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 9:00 A.M. at the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 205 East Stanford St., Bartow, Florida on March 7, 2025 for family and friends.
