Timothy L. Griner

February 20, 1956 — July 8, 2024

Bartow - Timothy L. Griner, age 68, passed away July 8, 2024, at his residence in Bartow after a long battle with liver disease. He was born on February 20, 1956 in Bartow, FL where he was a lifelong resident. He wore many hats throughout his lifetime, including a dance instructor, chauffeur, lip singer, but he settled down in Home Medical Equipment sales for 30+ years and retired in 2023 due to his illness. Tim was a lover of horses, owning many throughout his lifetime and enjoying riding until his health no longer allowed. He also enjoyed fishing and cooking his fresh catch for his next meal. Dancing and singing were among his many passions. He was an exceptional singer, performing at several funerals, weddings, and never missing a chance to sing karaoke. Although he did not have any of his own, he had a big heart for children. He volunteered countless hours dressing up as Santa, visiting schools and special needs group homes where he loved handing out personalized gifts to each child. Tim was well known for making people laugh with his never-ending jokes and light-heartedness. He had the ability to light up any room with his infectious joy and sharp wit. In fact, he had many convinced he had a birthday every single day, continually asking "did you bring me a present for my birthday?" He blessed many lives and will be missed immensely. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother, Rick Griner, along with his Qualimed family and many, many friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at New Beginnings Church of God located at 3920 Hwy 98 East, Fort Meade, FL on July 13, 2024 at 9:30 am.
