Timmie Greear

Mr. Timmie Gary Greear, of Bartow, passed away peacefully with his loved ones on the morning of March 26, 2007. For the last two and a half years he fought a long, courageous battle with cancer. Timmie was a man of God, he found great comfort in his Christian faith during his strenuous battle with this disease. Mr. Greear was born on September 24, 1951 in Coeburn, Virginia. He was a longtime resident of Bartow, and was employed by Cargill Fertilizer Inc. for over thirty years, working from 1973 until 2005. His last responsibility with the company was Reliability Superintendent. Timmie was a man who was very well respected and loved by many. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he was a blessing to all that knew him. Mr. Greear is preceded in death by his father, Osman Cox Greear. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cecelia Greear, sons; William Greear and wife Evelyn of Bartow, Bryan Greear and wife Kim of Fort Meade, daughter; Janet Greear of Bartow and her fiance Matthew Warner of Lakeland, mother; Magdalene G. Stroud of Bartow, grandchildren; Beverly, James, and Ty Greear. He is also survived by his sisters Myrna Uzmack of Mulberry, Deanna Sergel of Berea, KY, Malinda Stafford of Lakeland, Rhonda Walker of Bartow, brothers; Micheal Greear of Highland City, Terry Greear of Oviedo, and Eric Greear of Lake Wales. Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street Bartow, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Services will be held Thursday, March 29, at 11:00 AM,at the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church 205 East Stanford Street in Bartow.
