Thomas Schlenz

Thomas Schlenz of Bartow FL. formally of Bonfield IL. passed away Thursday March 4, 2021 at the Lakeland Hospice House. Born Oct. 24, 1940 in Kankakee, IL. to Robert Schlenz and Pearl (White) Schlenz. He married Denise Jo (St. Germaine) Schlenz on Sept. 2, 1989 in Bonfield IL. Surviving are his wife Denise Jo Schlenz of Bartow FL.; Father and Mother-in-law David & Suzanne St. Germaine of Bonfield IL.; Brother-in-law Doug St. Germaine of Bonfield, IL.; Sister-in-law Debbie Norton and husband Brian of Bonfield, IL.; Daughters: Beth Gardner and husband Nate of South Jordan, UT.; Laura Dietz and husband Charles of Bloomington, IL.; Jessica Stong and husband Steve of Iowa City, IA.; Sons: Aaron Schlenz and wife Susie of Cedar Park, TX.; Jason Schlenz and wife Angie of South Jordan, UT.; Brother Joe Schlenz and wife Barb of McHenry, IL.; Sister Diane "Penny" Hall of Tuscon, AZ. and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews and a great-granddaughter He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Pearl Schlenz. Thomas served proudly in the U.S. Air Force and served many years in Law enforcement for the Kankakee County Sheriff's Dept. Tom enjoyed participating in sports and was an avid Chicago Bears fan and weather enthusiast. He especially enjoyed life with his family and friends.
