Thomas P. Johnson

Thomas P. Johnson, age 84, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland of heart failure. Born , August 6, 1929 in Ariton, AL, Mr. Johnson was a resident of Bartow for many years, moving from Alabama. He was a retired U.S. Navy Veteran. After retirement, he operated an appliance repair business for several years. Mr. Johnson was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by two sons: Steven & Dale Johnson. He is survived by his wife: Terry A. Johnson, Bartow; three daughters: Debi Henderson , Diane Halford & Donna Kelly, all of Andalusia, AL; two sons : Raymond Johnson & Thomas P Johnson, Jr, both of Andalusia; two sisters: Johnnie Peters & Inez Thomas of Davenport, FL; 10 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandchild. Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
