Theresa Mercy Bass

Theresa Mercy Bass, 49, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2015. She was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Lakeland in 1969 at the age of 4. She graduated from LHS. Theresa married her soul mate, Mr. Jeff Bass on April 2, 1988 and they shared 27 wonderful years in Bartow, Lakeland, Mooresville, North Carolina and most recently Nancy, Kentucky. Theresa was preceded in death by her father-in-law Eugene M. Bass and her stepfather Kenneth Masters of Lakeland. She is survived by husband, Jeff Bass, her mother, Gloria Masters of Lakeland, father & stepmother Douglas and Lois Presto of Montgomery, Texas, mother-in-law Pat Smith of Nancy, Kentucky, 5 brothers and 4 sisters, grandmother Lorraine Paszek of Lakeland, Aunt and Uncle Robert & Miami Paszek of Granite Falls, North Carolina, 17 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Whidden-Mclean Funeral Home in Bartow on Saturday, May 30th @ 3:00pm with a celebration of life beginning at 5:00pm at 1860 Charleston Lane in Bartow, FL.
