Terry W. Kirkland

Terry W. Kirkland, age 66, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 in Orlando. Born June 16, 1951 in Bellaire, OH, he was the son of the late Wendell Wallace and Dorothy Jean (Patterson) Kirkland. Terry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bartow. He retired from the City of Bartow after 17 years of service in the Public Works Dept. as a Maintenance 3 Specialist. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers. He is survived by a loving family that includes his wife of 40 years, Brenda Kirkland of Bartow, son Jason Kirkland (Deanna) of Bartow, daughter Nikki Newman of Lakeland, two brothers: Jay Marple (Linda) and Danny Marple all of Bartow. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Clay Monroe, Brianna Monroe, Emma Kirkland, Jase Kirkland, Jr., Robby Newman, John Newman, Hayden Standphil, and Houston Standphil. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 25th from 3pm to 4pm at the First Baptist Church of Bartow. A memorial service will follow at 4:00pm at the church.
