Talmadge Woodrow Davis

Talmadge Woodrow Davis, 86, passed away due to heart failure on August 4, 2007 at Lake City Medical Center. He was born on April 29, 1921 in Brantley, AL. Mr. Davis moved to Jasper from Ft. Meade in 2000. He was a US Navy veteran and served on the USS Alabama in WW II. He retired from Swift and CF Industries. He was a member of the Church of God. Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Alva Smith Davis; brother, Dewey Davis; sisters, Alevennia Farris Watson and Cupid Clark. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Lamb Davis; two daughters: Tam Davis Carter (Walter) of Bartow, and Karen Davis Surrency of Fort Meade, and three step children. Two sisters: Cloylene Adkins of Lake Wales, and Bessie Kate Haynes of Chipley, FL. Three grandchildren: Missy McMillan, Walter Carter both of Lakeland, and Tanya Carter Lewis of Clermont, and 5 great grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL. A memorial service will be at Cornerstone Church of God at 2:00 PM Friday, August 24, 2007, Rev.
