Sybil Simpkins

Sybil Simpkins, age 86, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at her home in Lakeland. Sybil was born on October 23, 1929 in Hodges, AL. She was a longtime area resident. Mrs. Simpkins was a hairstylist for many years and was a longtime member of the First Assembly of God of Bartow. Sybil is preceded in death by her husband Harold Simpkins in 2003. She is survived by her children: Steve Simpkins of Bartow, Sue Eggert (Lee) of Brandon, her grandchildren: Christopher Lee Eggert, Elizabeth McKee Unruh, Matthew Stephen Simpkins, Elise Danford, Kathryn Mansfield and her great grandchildren: Payton, Grayson, Ethan, Sophia, Ashton, and Oliver. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 20th from 10am to 11am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home chapel.
