Suzanna L. Kennon

Bartow- Suzanna Lipscomb Kennon, age 87, of Bartow, died Monday, November 29, 2010 in Tallahassee of Respiratory Failure. Born June 17, 1923 in Memphis, TN. Mrs. Kennon has been a resident of Bartow since 1947, moving from Tennessee. A graduate of University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics, Mrs. Kennon taught Home Economics for Bartow High School and Traviss Vo-Tech for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bartow, the Bartow Lioness Club & the Engineers Wives. She is preceded in death by her husband: James C. Kennon. She is survived by her daughter: Carol Anne & husband Lex Thompson of Tallahassee; 2 grandchildren: Jamey & wife Heidi Thompson and Jenna and husband Thomas Larson, two great grandchildren: Tyler & Jayden Larson, all of Tallahassee. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 3, 2010 at 3:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church, 310 S. Broadway Avenue, Bartow. The family will receive friends following the service.
