Steve Edward Reas, lovingly known to many of his friends as "Booger Woods," passed away at the age of 87 on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
Born on July 28, 1938, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Lawrence Reas and Alberta Jones, Steve spent his life as a dedicated Heavy Equipment Operator, retiring from Kovacs Brothers and Kline Inc.
Steve had a passion for racing and was a lifelong NASCAR fan. Whether watching races on television, following his favorite drivers, or spending time with family and friends on race day, NASCAR was one of his greatest joys. He was happiest surrounded by those he loved, cheering on a race and making memories with family.
Steve is survived by his daughter, Bobbie Reas Kunberger (David); three sons, Steve S. Reas, Chris S. Reas, and Chris B. Reas (Katie); eleven grandchildren, Caleb, Dalton, Eliza, Blaine, Amanda, Megan, Jo, David, Shania, Charli, and Stacey; and great grandchildren Kinsley, Abigail, Collier, Cooper, and Corbyn.
Family and friends welcome visitors on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McLean Funeral Home, 306 E. Broadway in Fort Meade, FL. A Celebration of Steve's Life will follow at 7:00 p.m. at McLean Funeral Home.
