Stephen Jerry Douglas, Sr.

Stephen Jerry Douglas, Sr. 69, a Native of Fort Meade, FL, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from heart failure. Mr. Douglas was born October 6, 1941. He served in the Army National Guard and was a Maintenance Foreman for IMC Phosphate. He was avid Fisherman, #1 Gator Fan, loved to garden, but most of all he was a Great Role Model for his children and grandchildren. He created many wonderful memories and will be missed by many, many people that loved him. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Patricia Douglas of Fort Meade.Three Daughters; Karen Osterhaus & husband Dale of Englewood, FL, Vickie Mashburn & husband Brad of Lakeland and Stephanie Thompson of Lakeland Son, Stephen Jerry Douglas, Jr. of Fort Meade. Four Grandchildren Randy Westbrook, Emily Douglas, Shelby Mashburn and Nathan Douglas. Mother, Alice Patterson & husband Buck of Frostproof. Three Sisters; Judy Westbrook of Lake Wales, Linda Carter of Avon Park and Juana Waller of Frostproof. Three Brothers; Lloyd Douglas of High Springs, Gayland Douglas of Frostproof and Johhny Patterson of Frostproof. Arrangements are being handled by McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway in Fort Meade, FL. The Family will receive friends Saturday, April 16, 2011 from 10 to 11 am at McLean Funeral Home.
