Bartow - Stella Nixon, age 92, passed away October 14, 2023, at her residence in Bartow. She was born on July 19, 1931, in Mount Pleasant, IA. She was a Homemaker. She enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, and animals . She was preceded in death by her husband Dempsey Nixon and sister Ella McCabe. She is survived by a loving family that includes her sons Terry L. Hester ( Terrell ) of Lakeland, Clifford Hester (Wanda) of Satsuma & Dennis Sisco (Esther) of Bartow, daughters Gloria Bamford (Phil) of Bartow & Kim McCulley of Winter Haven, 9 grandchildren , 11 great grandchildren and niece Pam Horne. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow.
